Featuring more action than a night in Mickey Rourke's bedroom, it's kill or be killed for unlucky convict Nikita in this gripping spy drama. After getting banged up for a murder she didn't commit, Nikita (Peta Wilson, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, pictured left) is forced to work for the government as an assassin. If she tries to run away, they'll kill her. If she stays, one of the 'baddies' could well do the same. It's a lose:lose situation so there's only one thing for it - kick enemy arse to stay alive. With her instructor and mentor, Michael (Roy Dupuis, Screamers), as her only friend, we reckon life on the 'outside' ain't much better than life in the jail-house.
The 5' 10", cheekbones-to-die-for Peta Wilson (pictured left) was a model in her youth - yes, astonishing but true. Nevertheless, performing was always her first love, and a way of overcoming her permanent 'new kid at school' status. An army brat, her family was always on the move, and what better way to constantly adapt than to learn the acting craft? La Femme Nikita was her big break, but she made quite an impact on the big screen as Nina Harker in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
